Supplies
All you’ll need for this easy craft is red, white and blue yarn, empty toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls, popsicle sticks and double sided tape or a hot glue gun. You can get everything from the Dollar Tree, so this is extremely affordable!
How To
To start, if you are using paper towel rolls, you’ll want to cut them down to the size of a toilet paper roll. Next, starting with your red yarn, using a hot glue gun or piece of double sided tape, adhere the yarn to the very top of a cardboard roll. use tape or glue the whole way around the first layer. Continue wrapping for 1/3 of the way down. Move on to the white yarn, also using glue or tape to start it off and adhere to the roll. Go another 1/3 way down, then move on the blue yarn to finish. When you are at the last wrap at the very bottom, also use glue or tape to adhere to roll. My video will show you how to wrap it! This creates the Bomb Pop look.
Lastly, glue a popsicle stick to the inside of the roll, on the blue end, to make it look like a popsicle. You are done! Now to make as many as desired. I then used clear jewelry line to thread threw the rolls and turned mine into a garland to hang on my bar cart! The kids can leave as they are and use in their play kitchen as well! Lots of fun options! My 2nd video shows my styled bar cart with with the garland and sparkling lemonade with a star sparkler! I also made crostini’s with mascarpone cheese, blueberries and strawberries drizzled with honey! Let me know if you make these! What are your 4th of July plans?!
