Cookie Decorating
To start, I grabbed baking sheets from the Dollar Tree as a tray for the actual cookie decorating. This way, you can have a place to set the cookies, frosting and it catches all of the sprinkles! I put sprinkles and mini chocolate chips in small condiment containers so that each child has their own set. I also put frosting in piping bags for easy of decorating the cookies! Last, there was bakery style boxes for the kids to put their finished cookies in to take home, and topped with a milk and cookies tag from Thread Mama.
Place Setting
The place settings had round plate topped with an adorable reindeer plate and Fa la la napkins. White mugs were set for hot chocolate. I created an ornament ball stir stick by simply hot glueing a tiny ornament ball onto the top of a plastic stir stick. The kids enjoyed cocoa while decorating!
Treats
A hot cocoa board included hot cocoa stir sticks, marshmallows and cookies!
Decorations
My simple backdrop was a small balloon garland and turning my shutters into “presents” by taping red ribbon in the cross pattern and adding a big paper bow! I also crafted some mini wreaths with floral wire and greenery I had on hand. Then hot glued a paper bow on top and a wooden name plate for each girl. This was taped to the backs of the chairs as name cards for seating! Easy way to make the girls feel special! Finishing off the decor, I decorated the mantel with a large candy cane balloon, our stockings and wood bead garlands!
