The party planning girl I am knew I had to throw a 40th birthday for my best friend Jamie this May! She lives with 3 boys, a husband and 2 sons, so with all the testosterone, I knew she needed something girly and pink! Pressed florals seem to be a big thing this Spring, so I used that as my theme!

Mimosa Bar
Starting with a brunch mimosa bar, I added fresh flowers to the ice buckets and created a Mimosa Bar sign. Michaels has acrylic signs on wood bases to where you can write your own verbiage. I used my Cricut to create the Mimosa Bar wording and glued it to the frame, as well as glued on some pressed flowers and greens. Keeping it girly and bright, I had lots of fresh flowers in pinks and yellows. My DIY floral resin tray held our champagne glasses for the mimosas. Each glass had an acrylic drink charm with a pressed flower glued on. Drink options were orange juice, watermelon juice or strawberry spritzer with Prosecco.
Decorations
To ring in my friends’ 40th birthday, I hung up large 40 balloons with honeycomb tassels and an 8 ft bright balloon garland with daisy balloons! Our backyard is the perfect poolside spot for a girly Spring time brunch!
Tablescape
For this floral table setting, I chose bright pink fabric napkins folded over the dining plate, and topped with a paper daisy napkin. I used my hand made resin floral coasters for the water goblets, pink and gold flatware and colorful candlesticks to deck out the table.
Food
On the menu for our brunch was donuts, mini muffins, fresh fruit, charcuterie and (not pictured) breakfast casserole. I also made yogurt parfaits in coupe glasses. Jamie’s birthday cake was adorned with fresh flowers! It was the perfect girly afternoon! I hope you enjoyed this post!
