Reuniting with my bestie Taressa in Pittsburgh called for a dinner party of some sort. We love entertaining together and she is a very gracious hostess! This happened back in April and I’m just now getting around to posting all of the beautiful pictures of our dinner and her dining room! While admiring her stunning photo that she took in Italy on her honeymoon, we got inspired and decided on cooking up some Italian food and setting the scene with pulling the blues and whites.
The beautiful table runners came from Target. Taressa had some very pretty serveware baskets and bowls that came from Gettysburg Polish Pottery. Here is a similar serving bowl if you’d like to get the look. We made a bright Caprese salad, meat & merlot cheese and antipasto plate, linguini and meatballs, fresh Italian bread from a bakery and an assortment of bite sized desserts. And of course wine! We had a Robert Mondavi Merlot and it was wonderful! I also love Trader Joe’s brand of wines – the Merlot and Riesling are my favorites!
The recipe for the gorgeous Caprese salad came from the Pioneer Woman and I found it on Pinterest. So easy and quick!
This bowl was bought by Taressa’s cousin when she traveled for work to Poland with President Obama! It’s just so beautiful!
Mini desserts of tiramisu bites, cannolis, eclairs and lady locks were piled high on a cake stand and decorated with blue baby’s breath. HOW PRETTY is blue baby’s breathe??! I didn’t even know it existed, but I found it at a grocery store!
We used Mikasa Italian Countryside Dinnerware on the table. The matching pasta bowls were perfect for our meal!
Stemware is Cheers by Mikasa. Everything was delicious and I hope we get to host together again soon!
