Every Spring, I get inspired by beautiful flowers for a Garden themed party! This year my daughter asked if we can have a floral themed mini party just with her best friends and their moms for a pre- Mother’s Day get together. My daughter also requested to make flower crowns with her friends, like we did at my sister in laws baby shower a few years ago. So with those things in mind, we created a pretty pink and yellow afternoon get together!

Invitation
For the invitation, my daughter and I created one in Canva ourselves. Even though it was only a few guests coming to our party, the little details made it so fun for my daughter! For the envelope, I used a paper napkin to line the inside. These napkins are also used at the party. I used the title of Petals and Prosecco mostly because I had Prosecco on hand and what Mother’s Day is complete without mimosas!! Petals and Prosecco is such a cute them for Mother’s Day or a Spring or Summer Bridal Shower.
Backdrop
I created a simple balloon garland of pinks, corals and yellows for our backdrop. As well as hung a Petals & Prosecco banner with it. Stringing it under the tree was tricky because we ended up having major winds that afternoon and some balloons popped. So be careful when hanging balloons outside!
Tablescape
The table was shades of yellow, pinks and light blues. All of my flowers were from Trader Joe’s, which are my go to flowers. Our floral garden party theme was complete with the plates and floral napkins. On the coupe glasses for the moms mimosas, I used an acrylic drink charm and printed each moms initials and added a yellow bow.
Kids Table
The kids table was the cutest! Ellie, my daughter, asked for a low table for her friends to sit at, so we used our patio coffee table on a blanket. Their table had beautiful butterfly plates and tea cups and a garden purse vase. On sale for $6 at Michaels!
Desserts & Drinks
For desserts, we had scones, cakes and cupcakes. The girls had pink lemonade, while the moms had mimosas. “In my Mama Era” and “In my Mini Era” cupcake toppers are made in my Etsy shop! As well as the matching cake topper. They are cute not only for Mother’s Day, but for baby showers as well!
In the ice bucket, I had flowers and sprinkled glitter! It’s such a fun and glam detail, inspired by Mindy at Bash Boutique! One DIY for this party was mod podging the floral napkin onto wooden letters that I have had for years. It makes for a fun coordinating detail!
Activity – Flower Crown Making
One of the easiest and pretties activities for a shower or party is making flower crowns! You can find floral wire and floral tape at the Dollar Tree. Baby’s breath flowers are the easiest flowers to use. You can also add some wild flowers. I created the bases with the wire, just making circles and twisting the wire to hold it together. Adding some pretty ribbon tied to the base finishes the look. The ribbon will then become the back of your crown so the ribbon will be on the back on your hair. The sign for the crown bar was created myself in Canva. I added dried, pressed flowers to the frame and left out the glass.
Favors
A small party favor idea is to give each mom a mini bottle of wine! I adorned the bottles with pretty ribbon and a large glitter initial letter! I hope you found a lot of inspo for your Mother’s Day celebration for Summer garden party! What’s your favorite type of flowers at this time of year?
