Our family LOVES Halloween! This was one of my favorite parties yet, and my daughter Ellie had a blast with her friends!
This is not an ad for Oriental Trading, but it should be! Ha! They had the cutest products for this theme and I basically got everything from their online store. There are always free shipping sales or $20 off your purchase deals to make it really affordable! I have a backdrop frame that I got from Oriental Trading years ago as well that I use for almost every party. I hung the backdrop on that and used halloween garland from the Dollar Tree to give it a border. Hay Bales were from Joann Fabric and all of the cardboard character stands and paper products were from Oriental Trading.
I made pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes topped with vanilla frosting with a pumpkin candy on top. We typically have our parties in our backyard, as it fits more people than inside our house. But because of this, we always have to set out the party food outside where it can get cold, hot, flies, etc. So I’ve always had the task of finding serveware to help protect the food. That’s why I loved these little character cupcake boxes! This way, the cupcakes stay fresher, it adds to the decor, and guests can just grab one to go if they’d like as well!
Gotta give it to Pinterest for this cute donut pops idea! I found the “I got a rock” labels on Pinterest by searching free printables. And the donut hole as a “rock” on top was the easiest task of this party!
“Bars” are so fun at parties, whether it is a popcorn bar, hot dog bar, chili bar, ice cream bar, etc. You get the picture. So easy, and kids loved adding in their own mix-ins of candy corn, goldfish crackers and m & m’s.
Chocolate pudding cups with an “Oreo moon”, Oreo dirt and candy pumpkin were easy for the kids to grab and go on their own. Oriental Trading had the adorable juice sippy cups!
Photobooth!
Taped the backdrop to the wall and framed it with leftover tissue garland from Ellie’s Frozen birthday party. I made the Photo Booth sign long ago from a dollar store frame and gold stickers. I can change out the color of the paper inside of it to fit my theme, and use it for every party!
Games!
We had a pumpkin piñata and a bean bag toss game. This here was “Pin the emoji ghost to the haunted house”! My non-crafty husband found an emoji ghost template online and made one on thick cardboard for us to trace. My daughter and I had a good time crafting with different colors and faces!
Party Favors!
They were also from Oriental Trading – small stuffed halloween emojis, small activity book, halloween pencil, stickers and tattoos.
