I have a group of close girlfriends, and over the recent years, most of them have moved away. Some for family, some for jobs, but we’ve all stayed very close. We try to do a girls trip once a year, which is always so needed! It’s the best! Our friend Amanda is expecting a baby girl, so we thought the perfect trip was to go to her new home city of Nashville and throw her a shower for her second baby! Her first born is a boy, so now she needs all of the girly pretties! She has a gorgeous farmhouse style home, so I thought a simple rustic farmhouse theme was perfect for her sprinkle. I have to say, planning and executing a shower from across the country was not easy. Thank goodness for my co-host Holland who was driving to Nashville and basically brought her whole house with her! A big thank you to Holland, Erica and Caitlin of Cafe Everyday Sunday for helping to make this baby shower so fabulous!!

Invitations & Signage

The beautiful floral invitations and other signage were printables on Etsy and came from Willow Lane Paperie. Pink ballet shoes are from Target!

Table Setting

Let’s talk tablescape! Each place setting had a galvanized metal charger with a white, ruffled dinner plate, salad plate and appetizer plate by Sophistiplate! I absolutely love the ruffle detailing! It gives it such a special and feminine look. The blush pink and white forks are also from Sophistiplate. I always serve a water glass in addition to a secondary drinking glass. We got the small mason jars at Target and Sugar & Cloth blush pink coupes from Amazon. Each guest had a laser cut wooden name card for seating that they got to take home. Wooden names by Bespoke Birch on Etsy.

The flowers for the centerpiece came from Trader Joe’s, which is always my go to for flowers! The burlap runner, eucalyptus candles, lambs ear greenery and white pumpkins came from Pottery Barn. I’m still loving on the knotted napkin look and added a sprig of rosemary to each.

Baby Shower Decor

We created an “oh baby” banner for the mantel out of onesies and gold letter stickers. Clipped them to a garland of lambs ear.

DIY Backdrop

 I’m back with another DIY hula hoop decor! It’s my 4th this year. I can do anything with a hula hoop; seriously obsessed. Ha! My friend and co-host Holland did the first part of the DIY, as I was flying into Nashville and could not fit it in my luggage. =) She spray painted the hula hoop gold and wrapped 2 strands of lamb’s ear garland from Hobby Lobby around it. I ordered the “Oh Baby” wood sign from Midnight Confetti on Etsy. We hung it with fishing line to the wreath.

Party Food

Let’s talk food! We created a Walk Around Charcuterie table. It’s my favorite kind of food! I could eat this every day! So many different meats, cheeses and breads. All 5 food groups were included! We also had fruits, veggies and nuts! In addition, we served a simple green salad, caprese salad and tray of Chick-fil-a nuggets because… does that even need a because? They are just yummy! Stringing a garland of greenery through the table and adding mini white pumpkins gave it a finishing look! Several of the boards were the disposable wooden cheese boards from Simply Baked. 

Drink Station

 I believe every special gathering needs a signature cocktail! Ours was an Apple Cider Mimosa, perfect for Fall! Start with champagne and top with sparkling apple cider. It was a hit! And of course we had just sparkling apple cider for our guest of honor, pregnant mama. This adorable “Drink Up” acrylic sign came from Mulberry Market Design on Etsy. I also had one on the dessert table that read “Sweets”. We served southern sweet tea as well as a variety of wines. 

Dessert Bar

Dessert bar! Hollands’ Uncle, Tom Greene, made our pies. We had Buttermilk pie, Chocolate Chess pie and Carmel Apple pie. “Oh Baby” napkins were found on Etsy by Hooray Days. 

Cookie tray was courtesy of Caitlin at Cafe Everyday Sunday. She made pumpkin spice cookies topped with buttercream rosettes and decorated sugar cookies. One was a onesie with blush pink rosette flowers and the other was a mason jar to match our “oh baby” theme. They are gorgeous and delicious! She is always my go to for party treats.

Wishing Tree Activity

We created a wishing tree where guests were able to write a note or well wishes to Amanda or her baby girl on the way.  

Shower Favors

Shower favors were deconstructed caramel apples. Keeping in the mason jar/ farmhouse theme, we put soft caramels in a mini mason jar with an apple on top. The Thank You tags matched the rest of our signage from Willow Lane Paperie.

Amanda looked so beautiful and glowing in her blush pink dress! If you are a soap fan, you may recognize her from All My Children, where she played the role of Babe Chandler, or one of her many other acting roles (Amanda Baker Browning).
